The day begins with the sunrise at Pico do Areeiro at 1.818 m (5.964 ft) high, where the first lights illuminate the mountains and create an unforgettable landscape above the clouds. Pico do Areeiro also known as pico do Arieiro is the third highest mountain peak in Madeira.
